About Me...

Hi, friends!
To learn more about the inspiration for my blog and to understand always sunny read here...

Me...
I was born and raised a Maryland girl (actually that's sort of a lie, my dad was stationed in NC when I was born, but technically other than birth certificate details I was born and raised in Maryland).  St. Michaels is extremely small, but adorable.  If you like shopping, boats, crabs, and quaint little towns, come on down! I ventured to the western shore to go to college at Towson University, but have been living back home ever since I graduated in 2010. I love all things pink. I think life is a musical. I adore running (about two weeks out of a month...and then hate it for the other two weeks).  I would do anything for a good book, a nap and a cup of coffee.

Work...
I am a self proclaimed first grade snob.  I adore first grade.  And I'm sure once I've taught other grades, I'll adore them too.  But first grade is where my heart is.  You see such tangible growth in these kiddos during this year...which actually causes a problem for me because I forget how young they are when they come to me in August! I absolutely love the school I work in and feel beyond blessed to have been given the opportunity to be a part of such a wonderful place. You will also hear me talk a lot about college because I will be starting my second year of my Master's program in ESOL LIT.  Not fun right now, but will be so worth it in two more years!

Family...
I am beyond blessed when it comes to family. I still live at home with my mom and sister and am so thankful I am able to do this while paying off student loans and saving. They keep me sane and grounded...and I think I keep them amused. My dad only lives 3 minutes away and I get to see him at least once a day.

Dogs...
Meet my pride and joy :) Cami is my two year old golden. At 60 pounds, my girl is a lap dog.  She keeps me company as I lesson plan into the night. I share milestones and pictures, just like my colleagues do with their children...fair warning.

You may also see me post pictures of Rosie, my sisters dog.

Faith...
I want you to know that I did not leave this section last because It is a lower priority in my life or something that I don't want people to know about me.  I actually did it on purpose.  I'm not one of those people who starts off with "Hey, I'm Cait and I'm a Christian." I want you to get to know me first and then know that I am who I am because I am a Christian.  Does that make sense? I reference my faith a lot in my posts, because that's how I talk, its what I believe and its how I TRY (nobody's perfect...insert Hannah Montana song here) to live my life daily.
